Description

Burton: Men's Twin Snowboard - Altrec.com Product Description:

You know those beer cans that change color when the contents are cold? Burton applied a similar idea to their Living Color graphics on their Twin snowboard. But graphics are a minor factor if you're looking for a stance-tweakable, park-ready snowboard with near-infinite binding mount possibilities--and if that is the case, the mid-wide Burton Twin has everything you need. It features Burton's new Channel binding mount connection, a slot that runs along the spine of the snowboard for excellent energy transfer between your feet and the binding. The Channel is compatible with Burton's 3D and EST bindings, so you can mount these bindings on the board to suit your stance width and toe-to-heel centering. The Twin's Park Fly wood core is more oriented toward parks and groomed snow than some of the other all-terrain freestyle boards offered by Burton. The difference with the Park Fly core is that there is more material between the bindings and lighter substance out along the tip and tail. If you had x-ray vision you could see that the wood grain along the toe and heel edges runs perpendicular to the rest of the wood core in a design called DualZone Edge Grain Direction, a process that enhances edging while adding durability. Burton enhanced the rigidity by wrapping a special Dual Density Triax Response fiberglass around the wood core (from tip to tail) to help reinforce the high impact areas without stiffening up the flex. Along the Grip and Rip edges are Burton's 10:45 sidewalls, a durable sidewall construction that features two angles to help absorb impact and abuse without messing up the performance. 10:45 sidewalls are ideal for aggressive riders who want to push their trick limits, and developing riders who want a performance all-terrain snowboard that can withstand the abuse of mastering challenging terrain. One thing to keep in mind is that the Burton Twin sizes are geared toward slightly lighter riders. Size your board according to length and weight and you should enjoy significant pop and performance in the park and backcountry.
